Sunday, May 16
O God, the King of glory, you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven: Do not leave us comfortless, but send us your Holy Spirit to strengthen us, and exalt us to that place where our Savior Christ has gone before; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.
Sunday, May 16 is the Seventh Sunday of Easter. Find the readings here.

It's the end of an era: this is the last time I'll be making pre-recorded videos for our Sunday worship. And while I won't miss making them, I'm glad we're going out on a high note — literally, with an anthem by the children of the Cape Ann Choir School. It's an appropriate time for such a joyful addition to our worship, as it both takes advantage of the video medium and conveys the hope we enjoy from our faith.
Next Sunday, those of you who can't be in church can still participate by video. We will be streaming the service live, probably on the church's Facebook page, and also recording the service so we can upload it to our YouTube channel and air it on local cable TV. Remember, it'll be Pentecost, so wear red!
If the outdoor gathering planned for after next Sunday's service goes ahead as planned, it will take the place of our Zoom coffee hour. However, if bad weather forces us to postpone the gathering to the 30th, we will have a Zoom coffee hour on the 23rd. Hope to see many of you next Sunday!
But today, please join us for coffee hour at noon:
• To join on a computer, tablet, or smartphone with the Zoom app installed, click here: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86398096400?pwd=dk5oTjNkYzNIOVl4TEExcCtiZEw2dz09

Here are Mark's music notes:
This past Thursday several of the Choir School choristers met outside to sing and recorded “Risen Lord,” a favorite Easter Anthem by Barry Rose. We’re happy to include it today. Of course, we’re recording outside so it has a different quality than the usual recordings we make; nevertheless, I’m certain you’ll enjoy it.
I like to play the “Poco vivace” by Herman Schroeder near Ascension Day because of all the ascending leaps & movement. Uncharacteristically, this piece ends with Pedal playing the top “c” rather than the lowest note!
The next two weeks we’ll be using our choir audio only for the singing for the in person services, as singing by the congregation is not allowed. Those who watch the live stream or the recorded version will also hear this.
