Stewardship at St. John’s
Stewardship is more than managing what we own; it is a spiritual practice of caring for everything God has entrusted to us. As Jesus reminded his followers, our hearts are deeply tied to how we handle our resources: "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (Matthew 6:21). Once a year at St. John’s, we intentionally take stock of our blessings— financial assets, time and our unique abilities. Scripture teaches us that our distinct talents are gifts meant to be shared: "Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received" (1 Peter 4:10). We invite you to make plenty of good room for this season of honest reflection and joyful recommitment to our shared mission at St. John’s. Together, we are called to embody the love of Jesus by reaching out to those who need our help, fulfilling his commandment to care for the vulnerable and love our neighbors as ourselves.
