Locke Meyer — Clarinet
Locke Meyer is a clarinetist and instrument builder originally from St. Louis, Missouri. He has appeared at the Staunton Music Festival in Virginia and The Dark at PS21 in Chatham, New York, and in 2025 performed Debussy’s Première Rhapsodie with the Berkshire Symphony after winning its Student Soloist Competition.
A graduate of Williams College, Locke now works as a pipe organ builder at C.B. Fisk, Inc. in Gloucester, focusing on flue voicing and the construction of bellows and rollerboards. His musical interests range from chamber music to contemporary repertoire, and he brings the precision of an instrument maker into his performance practice.
Outside of music, Locke enjoys cooking, woodworking, rock music, and exploring unusual sparkling‑water flavors — including “Banana Bergamot” and “Mild Spruce.”
Yoko Hagino — Piano
Yoko Hagino is a Japanese‑born pianist whose career spans solo performance, chamber music, contemporary music, and teaching. She began piano studies at the age of four and performed her own compositions as a child, appearing as a young soloist with orchestras in Japan, Europe, and the United States.
Yoko has performed with ensembles including the Kyoto City Symphony, Osaka Century Orchestra, UMass Boston Chamber Orchestra, Key West Symphony Orchestra, and White Rabbit Sinfonietta. She has appeared at Jordan Hall, the William Kapell Music Festival, Steinway & Sons in Germany, and on Suisse Romande Radio. She is a prizewinner of the Steinway Society Piano Competition, the First International Chamber Music Competition, and the All‑Japan Selective Competition of the International Mozart Competition.
She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with honors from Tokyo National University, followed by an Artist Diploma from the Longy School of Music and a Performance Diploma from the Boston Conservatory. A devoted chamber musician and advocate for new music, she has premiered hundreds of works and frequently performs with ensembles including Sound Icon, Ludovico Ensemble, and BMOP.
Outside of music, Yoko enjoys sewing, baking, and ice skating — a hobby she uses to inspire her students in patience, balance, and confidence.
