Sunday, March 20, Third Sunday in Lent

Updated: Mar 21

Almighty God, you know that we have no power in ourselves to help ourselves: Keep us both outwardly in our bodies and inwardly in our souls, that we may be defended from all adversities which may happen to the body, and from all evil thoughts which may assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Sunday, March 20 is the Third Sunday in Lent. Download the worship booklet here.

Also, watch the recorded service or read Pastor Lise's sermon.

Worship Options: We will continue to worship in one service of Eucharist at 9:30 am until Palm Sunday (April 10), when we return to 8 and 10:30 services. We welcome in-person worshippers and those who want to watch the livestream on Facebook. The YouTube link for the service and written sermon will be sent out on Tuesday. Coffee hour is currently suspended.

Poem to Prepare for Sunday Worship: This Sunday’s topic is systemic racism, which is illustrated by this powerful 3½ minute poem by Dominique Hardy: Brave Voices Speaking: My Black Life by Dominique Hardy from the Absalom Jones Center for Racial Healing, Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta). Thanks to Claudette Chmura for forwarding this!
