Liability Release

BUILDING USE FEES

  • Sexton Fee (All Events) - $50

  • Extra Technology (video, live stream) - $200

  • Parish Hall and Kitchen - $300 (4 hours) $600 (more than 4 hours)

  • Sanctuary, Thompson Room, Parish Hall, and Kitchen - $600 (4 hours) $1,200 (more than 4 hours)

  • Sanctuary Only - $200 (4 hours)

  • Thompson Room Only $150

  • Other prices negotiated as needed

BUILDING USE RULES

The person/organization requesting the use of St. John's Church are responsible for th following at the end of the event.

  • Remove any steamers, tapes or anything else that was attached to the building.

  • Remove all trash and recyclables.

  • Wipe down tables and chairs then return them to pre-event locations.

  • Remove any open food or beverages.

  • Sweep or mop as needed

  • Close any windows or cabinets you used.

PARKING

Important: Please Share the following with all who attend your event.

Do not park in spaces 6-20 at any time unless authorized or you may be towed at your own expense.

  • Weekdays from 9am to 5pm: Spaces 1-5 and 39-43

  • Weeknights (after 5pm) all the above plus 23-24 and 31-35

  • Saturday and Sunday (all day) all of the above

ALCOHOL USE POLICY

  • SPONSOR ONLY: can supply alcohol.

  • NO BYOB (bring your own booze)

  • Alcohol must be served by a qualified adult for that specific reason and remain with the alcohol.

  • Beer and Wine Only.

  • Two drink limits per person.

  • Server must check ID, no one under 21 served

  • Nonalcoholic beverages must be available and displayed prominently.

The person/organization requesting the use of St. John's Church, located at 48 Middle Street, Gloucester Massachusetts hereby absolves the church, its rector, wardens, and members of any liability including personal injury or damage to personal property during the event and agrees to be responsible for any property damage that results while using the facility.

The person/organization requesting the use of the building will hold harmless St. John's Church, its rector, wardens and members against any and all liability from the serving or consumption of alcohol at the event.

By digitally signing this agreement, I understand that the area we use will be left in the same condition prior to event setup. I have read and will comply with all rules presented by St. John's Church.
