Music notes

St. John's will host the Yokohama "Lucys" on Aug. 22 at 7:30 p.m. Former organist interns from Yokohama's Minato Mirai hall with its Fisk organ, Opus 110, nicknamed "Lucy," have taken on the name and taken to the road. Aya and Naoko will play an hourlong program opening with a wonderful set of variations on Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, written especially for children (bring yours, or your grand children, or your inner child!). Other music that you'll recognize are Largo from the New World Symphony of Dvorak ("Going home") and Clare de Lune of Debussy. Organ music of Franck and Mendelssohn round out the program.
