"Nurture and Challenge Your Spirit"

Will you help "Fill the Ark"?

On April 13 we embarked on a project called "Fill the Ark." In the spirit of our Outreach Committee's study of the United Nations Millennium Goals which were developed to educate people of the need to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, and the building of Noah's Ark by the Sunday Club where the children learned of Noah's story and God's rainbow with the promise of a new day, we hope to raise funds to help fill another ark, that of the Heifer Project.

Our gifts will help to purchase and transport quality animals and the training and support Heifer gives recipients. Contributions to the Gift Ark program are symbolic and represent a contribution to the entire mission of Heifer International.

This is a four-week voyage into real solutions to alleviate world hunger Please stop by the Parish Hall to pick up a calendar and an "ark" to fill. As you fill your ark, you'll learn how your gifts can share God's love and make a real difference in our world. The Heifer Ark will bring hope and a new beginning to people who suffer the world over.

Today, Heifer animals are spreading over the earth as each participating family passes on the gift of one or more animal's offspring to another family in need. Let's all work together to see how many animals we can donate to their mission.
Please follow the calendar in the next month and bring your ark to St. John's on Pentecost, May 11, when we will collect all donations.

God told Noah, "Bring with you every living thing--birds and animals and every creeping thing--so that they may abound on the earth and be fruitful and multiply. " (Gen 8:17)
